Refine your Bayesian reasoning skills at the European University Institute in Florence, where I will be teaching a ten-week course on Bayesian Inference for Qualitative Research during the January-March academic term.

Max Weber Fellowships: applications due Oct. 15.  I will be looking to recruit two fellows from among the applicants to work with me.  The ideal candidates will be applying Bayesian reasoning in their research.  These are 2-year post-doctoral fellows that offer a wide range of mentoring and professional development programs.

Visiting Students: applications due Sept. 30.  This is a great opportunity for Ph.D. students to visit Florence during the Jan-March teaching term and take my full-length course on Bayesian reasoning.  The EUI does not fund these positions.

Visiting Fellows: applications due Sept. 30.  These are self-funded positions open to scholars with PhDs.  Wonderful if you are on sabbatical.

Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowships: applications due Sept. 30 for the September 2026 to

ree

June 2027 academic year. These positions are for established academics with an international reputation to pursue their research at the EUI.  The Department of Political and Social Sciences also considers applications from exceptional early-career scientists. While longer stays than 3 months are welcomed and desired, the department funds fellows only up to 3 months.
